Cancer Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Genomics and Bioinformatics

A postdoctoral opportunity is available to work in the laboratory of Dr. Scott Ness, Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology, University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Albuquerque, NM. The successful candidate will work on innovative projects that lie at the interface of tumor and stem cell biology, involve transcriptional and cell cycle regulation, and make use of genomics and bioinformatics. Our laboratory develops and applies cutting-edge technologies for the study of innovative, highly significant problems related to hematopoiesis, tumor biology and gene regulation. We use a combination of molecular, cellular, biochemistry, genomics and bioinformatics approaches. Candidates should have a recent PhD, a history of productivity and should be highly motivated with a strong background in molecular/cellular biology. Applicants should have a passion for science, a drive to succeed and the ability to work independently. Applicants who are eligible for training grant support (with U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status) are preferred.
